The Katy Trail passes through Marthasville and Dutzow

The Katy Trail runs along the Missouri River through Warren County with trailheads at Marthasville and Dutzow, a mid-trail recreation asset that ties into the local wine country rather than the trail's busy eastern end

The Katy Trail is a long rail-trail run by Missouri State Parks. It was built on the old MKT (Katy) railroad line, and most of it follows the Missouri River. Part of the trail passes through southern Warren County, with stops at Marthasville and Dutzow. The Dutzow trailhead sits next to the Dutzow Deli and Restaurant. Marthasville has places to eat and other trail services nearby.

This stretch runs through quiet river-bottom country in what many people call Missouri’s wine region. The small towns here welcome the cyclists and walkers who come through. The trail also links the county’s old German settlement towns to the rest of the route.

Trail conditions can change, since high water on the Missouri River sometimes closes sections. For trailhead spots, mileage, and current closures, check Missouri State Parks before you go.
