Warren County road questions need the road layer first

Warren County's directory separates Road and Bridge from assessor, collector, recorder, and city offices, which helps route road-maintenance questions.

A Warren County road problem starts with one quiet question: who maintains that road?

Road and Bridge is a separate county contact, and the county GIS has transportation layers that can help orient a road or subdivision question. But not every road in the county is a county road.

Some roads are city streets, subdivision roads, state highways, or private lanes. Around Warrenton, I-70 growth areas, river towns, and rural subdivisions, a mailing address may not tell you who maintains the pavement, gravel, ditch, sign, or driveway access.

Use the road layer first. Once you know whether the route is county, city, state, subdivision, or private, the maintenance question has a much better chance of reaching the right desk.
