The Branson/Table Rock area straddles the Stone–Taney county line

A 'Branson-area' or Table Rock address can fall in Stone or Taney County, which decides which assessor, collector, recorder, and districts apply.

The greater Branson and Table Rock Lake area is split by the Stone–Taney county line. Branson itself sits in Taney County, but much of western Table Rock Lake, including Kimberling City and the area toward Galena and the James River, is in Stone County. That boundary determines which county assessor and collector handle a parcel, which recorder holds the deed, and which local districts levy taxes. A ‘Branson-area’ mailing address therefore does not automatically mean Taney County. Before chasing tax, assessment, deed, or district records, confirm whether the specific property is in Stone or Taney County so you start with the right Galena or Forsyth offices. Boundary geometry can be checked against the state’s official spatial data rather than assumed from a town name.
