Nodaway County assessment splits real estate and personal property
Nodaway County's assessor office is the starting point for real-estate and personal-property assessment questions.
At 403 N Market in Maryville, the Nodaway County Assessor’s Office separates personal-property calls from real-estate calls. That split is small, but it is the kind of detail that saves time when a vehicle, farm item, house, or parcel record is the real question.
Personal property is the lane for things like vehicles and other taxable movable property. Real estate is the lane for land and buildings. A taxpayer who only says “taxes” can end up in the wrong conversation, because the assessment record comes before the bill and receipt.
Use the office split as your first sort. A changed vehicle, a missing personal-property list, or an address tied to a car renewal starts on the personal-property side. A value, ownership, or parcel question starts on the real-estate side.
