Miller County assessment and tax collection are separate jobs
The Miller County assessor appraises property and maintains parcel maps, while the collector handles the tax-payment side.
Tuscumbia tax errands can look like one Miller County problem until you ask which office owns the job. The assessor appraises and assesses real property and personal property. That includes residential, commercial, and agricultural real estate classes, along with the personal-property side of the roll. The assessor also maintains current ownership parcel maps.
The collector is the payment lane. Tax statements, payments, receipts, delinquency questions, and the county tax-payment portal belong there.
That office split is the shortcut. A value, class, parcel-map, ownership-map, or personal-property list problem starts with the assessor. A bill, payment, receipt, or portal problem starts with the collector. Both offices can be part of the same tax story, especially when a property record leads to a bill. They are not doing the same job, and asking the right office first can save a long loop through county tax paperwork.
