Franklin County tax receipts have their own search path
Franklin County residents can use the collector and county payment portal to look up tax bills and receipts before a plate-renewal or property-payment errand.
A plate renewal can stall over one missing tax receipt. Franklin County’s collector path handles tax payments and receipt copies, and the county payment portal lets residents search property-tax records before they are standing at the license office counter.
For vehicle paperwork, the detail to match is personal property tax proof. Missouri renewal rules can call for that proof or for a statement of non-assessment, depending on the driver’s situation. The county record should match the right name and tax year before it gets handed over with the rest of the plate paperwork.
Use the Franklin County collector and payment portal for the county receipt trail. DOR’s renewal checklist covers the state side. Keeping those two errands separate makes the plate trip less fragile.
