The collector is the tax statement and receipt office

Christian County's Collector says tax statements are mailed in November and provides real-estate and personal-property tax search, receipt, and statement tools.

November tax mail in Christian County comes from the collector side of the house. The collector handles tax statements, payments, account lookup, and paid receipts for both real estate and personal property. Its search tools split those two lanes, which is handy when one person needs a home record and another needs a vehicle receipt.

The collector is not the fix for every tax problem. If the value looks wrong, the class is off, or personal property was missing from the list, the assessor is the better door. Once the bill exists, though, the collector is the place for statements and receipts.

For a license-office errand, a paid personal-property receipt may be the document someone needs. For a sale or refinance, the real-estate tax statement or paid receipt may be the record that gets pulled.
