Some Carroll city taxes are on the county tax bill

Carroll County's collector-treasurer says city taxes for Bogard, Bosworth, De Witt, and Norborne are included in the county tax bill.

Bogard, Bosworth, De Witt, and Norborne can surprise a new Carroll County taxpayer. City taxes for those towns are included on the county tax bill, so a resident may not see a separate city notice.

The Collector-Treasurer handles the bill, payment, and receipt side. Current bills are mailed in November and due by December 31. Search the taxpayer portal by owner name, statement number, personal-property parcel number, or real-estate parcel number. The old receipt or mailed statement is often the quickest clue because it has the exact name and number style. Value questions belong with the Assessor; billed-and-paid questions belong with the Collector-Treasurer. Keeping that split straight can save a second call.
