Buchanan County road work is split east and west
Buchanan County lists separate Road and Bridge East and West contacts, so rural road questions may depend on which district maintains the road.

Buchanan County has separate Road and Bridge East and Road and Bridge West contacts, with different supervisors and contact details. The East side covers county road and bridge records, materials records, and bridge load-limit listings. The West side lists western district barns near De Kalb.
For a rural driveway, bridge, chip-seal, culvert, or county-road concern, first identify whether the road is in the county system and which side handles it. St. Joseph city streets and MoDOT routes have their own channels.
The goal is a better report, not more phone calls. A clear road layer helps avoid bouncing a maintenance concern between agencies.
